  • Location: Onsite in New Britain, CT
  • Schedule: 8:00am to 4:00pm 
  • Salary: Compensation ranges from $90k to $142k, based on experience, education, and qualifications.

CW Group is seeking an experienced Director of Business Services to lead critical business operations that support our mission and long‑term growth. This position plays a central role in shaping business processes, guiding cross‑functional collaboration, and supporting enterprise‑level decision‑making.
 
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
  • Drive long‑range strategic planning, including SWOT analyses that inform organizational direction.
  • Provide daily leadership to business services teams to ensure operational excellence and seamless execution.
  • Oversee electronic business file management systems, reporting cycles, and audit‑ready documentation.
  • Lead preparation for external audits and ensure quality control, accuracy, and compliance.
Pricing & Estimating Leadership:
  • Maintain compliant estimating systems, including the Estimating Manual aligned with DFARS 252.215‑7002.
  • Lead competitive, compliant pricing strategies for federal solicitations in alignment with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and agency requirements.
  • Interpret complex solicitations and develop accurate cost models, narratives, and pricing structures.
  • Manage cost volumes, cost/price analyses, subcontractor inputs, BOEs, rate justifications, and audit‑ready pricing documentation.
  • Support fact‑finding, negotiations, and engagements with DCAA, DCMA, and customer pricing teams.
  • Improve pricing tools, templates, and processes to enhance accuracy, repeatability, and compliance.
Contract Management:
  • Oversee cradle‑to‑grave administration of federal prime contracts and subcontracts, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain clause databases, compliance plans, and contract documentation.
  • Lead negotiations for new and existing contracts, including pricing, workload, and union agreements.
  • Manage contract deliverables, renewals, CPARS responses, and reporting cycles.
  • Serve as primary liaison with Contracting Officers and government stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments, regulatory reviews, and ongoing compliance monitoring, including cybersecurity and CMMC requirements.
  • Develop relationships with Project Management to enhance performance and compliance (SOW/PWS, Terms & Conditions) on existing and new projects.
Subcontract Management:
  • Maintain the Purchasing Manual in accordance with DFARS 252.244‑7001.
  • Lead subcontract formation, competitive sourcing, cost/price analysis, negotiation, and full lifecycle administration.
  • Ensure audit‑ready subcontract files and compliance with CPSR and federal standards.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments, performance evaluations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Develop and implement subcontracting policies, procedures, and training programs to strengthen governance and performance.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field is required
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in federal contracting, pricing, procurement, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of (6) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating the ability to guide teams and manage complex workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create reports, presentations, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Ability to travel nationally, up to 25% of the time. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid RealID
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Physical & Environmental Demands: 
  • Office Environment: This position is primarily based in a professional office environment. The incumbent is expected to work full-time on-site, performing duties at a desk and utilizing standard office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, and other technology tools. The environment is climate-controlled with moderate noise levels consistent with office operations.
  • Extended Hours: The position may occasionally require work outside of standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, to meet organizational deadlines, participate in meetings, respond to urgent matters, or attend events and conferences.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent and sustained use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment is required. The role involves repetitive motion and fine motor skills for data entry, document review, and written communication.
  • Visual and Hearing Acuity: Must possess sufficient visual acuity to read detailed documents, analyze spreadsheets, review dashboards, and interpret data displayed on computer screens or in printed form. Adequate hearing is necessary to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings, whether in person, by phone, or via virtual platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Mobility and Physical: The position involves occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds, such as program materials, documents, or presentation equipment. Occasional movement between departments, meeting rooms, and partner sites is required.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: The role involves handling sensitive information and requires strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and ethical standards.
  • Travel: This role may require travel, including both local and out-of-state trips. Travel may involve attending job fairs, workshops, conferences, conducting site visits, supporting program implementation, or representing the organization at external meetings.
