As the Human Resources Coordinator - Leave and Employee Support, you'll help employees navigate some of the most important moments in their employment journey. Through your support, guidance, and attention to detail, you'll help create a positive employee experience while ensuring people feel informed, supported, and valued every step of the way.

In This Role, You’ll Be A:
  • Employee Resource → Serving as a trusted point of contact by answering questions, providing guidance, and connecting employees with the resources they need.
  • Leave & Benefits Coordinator → Supporting employees through FMLA, ADA accommodations, leaves of absence, return-to-work processes, benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit-related questions while helping ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.
  • Case Records & Compliance Specialist → Coordinating leave and accommodation cases, maintaining required documentation, tracking deadlines, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, preparing correspondence, and ensuring accurate case records throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Records Specialist → Maintaining employee personnel files and HRIS records, processing employee data changes, supporting document retention practices, ensuring data accuracy, and safeguarding confidential employee information.
  • Problem Solver → Researching questions, finding solutions, and helping employees navigate HR processes with confidence.
  • Data Champion → Creating reports, tracking workforce metrics, and helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR information.
  • Project Partner → Supporting onboarding, training initiatives, employee engagement programs, compliance activities, and special projects.
  • Team Supporter → Keeping the HR department organized, efficient, and focused on delivering exceptional service.
  • Culture Contributor → Helping create a positive employee experience through responsiveness, professionalism, and support.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Leave Administration, HR Operations, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting the administration and coordination of FMLA, ADA accommodations, leaves of absence, return-to-work processes, medical documentation review tracking, employee communications, and case management activities while helping ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple employee cases and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Experience interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), preferably UKG Pro (UltiPro).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to create reports and analyze employee data.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government base access.

Bonus If You Have These Skills:
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR-related certifications or coursework.
  • Experience using case management, leave administration, or HRIS systems to track accommodation requests, leaves of absence, and employee compliance documentation.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including HIPAA, COBRA, Workers' Compensation, and other HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and employee requests in a fast-paced environment.

Physical & Environmental Demands:
  • Office Environment: This position is primarily based in a professional office environment and requires full-time on-site attendance. Duties are performed at a workstation using standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and other business technology. The environment is climate-controlled with typical office noise levels.
  • Work Schedule: The position is generally performed during standard business hours. Occasional flexibility may be required to support business needs, meetings, onboarding activities, or special projects.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers is required to operate computers, telephones, printers, and other office equipment. The role involves routine keyboarding, data entry, document preparation, and record maintenance.
  • Visual and Hearing Acuity: Must possess sufficient visual acuity to read detailed documents, analyze spreadsheets, review dashboards, and interpret data displayed on computer screens or in printed form. Adequate hearing is necessary to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings, whether in person, by phone, or via virtual platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Mobility and Physical Requirements: The position requires occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 20 pounds, such as personnel files, office supplies, onboarding materials, or training resources. Occasional movement throughout the facility may be required.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: The role involves handling sensitive information and requires strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and ethical standards.
  • Travel: Limited local travel may be required on an occasional basis for business-related activities, meetings, trainings, or visits to nearby company locations.
